Welcome to your very own blog dear vets. Its about time India started noticing the contributions of veterinarians to society. Although much admired in developed countries of the world, vets have somehow stayed away from limelight in India.
Generally low standards of human hygiene and health have contributed to low care of animals as our health care systems have lagged behind even for humans, so animals cant expect anything better.
It is for the veterinarians to raise the standard of animal health care in this era.

I have been thinking why the vets hesitate to share professional knowldege/experiences on such sites. I think, we in india, are inflicted with a pathological condition called " Bhed-Chaal". If, by some way, few people can be made to put their thoughts on some blog, rest would try to follow them out of curiosity first and after that they would participate actively as if it was their moral duty of the urgent kind to do so. Other reason maybe that most of us are so rigid in our beliefs that we are not prepared to even listen to the contrary point of view, leave aside trying to ponder over it. Majority of us, public at large, dont know how to and cant have healthy debates. We just try to overshout the other people or lobby them out to enforce our own way of thinking.
But blogging is kind of medium where you can express yourself freely without external pressures. So, i think people should be persuaded to express themselves on such fora. People should share their professional experiences with flexibility of mind , always ready to correct themselves wherever needed.
